Bangsar Village’s new Rumoh Mekda honours Pantai Timur heritage touchstones: Turmeric-tinged nasi kerabu with sweetly charred lemak bakar and a fresh flurry of herbs; satar parcels of smoothly minced ikan selayang, softly grilled in banana leaves with aromatics; oxtail singgang, slow-simmered in a bright, tangy-spiced broth; and more storied signatures from the kitchens of Kelantan and Terengganu.
