Humble Nana, Bangsar South

April 23, 2019

Fusing inspirations from Penang and Japan, Humble Nana proudly serves intriguing hybrid recipes: Ramen is submerged in prawn mee broth, mildly briny-sweet (RM17.90), soft-shell crab surfaces with mixed fruits and tofu in peanut rojak sauce (RM16.90) and deep-fried gyoza with a rich kam heong mayo dip (RM15.90). More specialities are coming soon, like oden with Penang-inflected chilli paste and tofu bakar with tobiko, not yet available when we visited - playful fare for a lighthearted meal.

Cocktails (RM35 each) showcase sweet and spicy sides - the Humble Nana signature beverage comprises pink grapefruit gin with coconut oil, pineapple juice and gula Melaka, while the Hottest Nana brings together white rum with chocolate sauce and chilli syrup, topped with a dehydrated chilli blanketed in popping candy.
