Grounded in the passion for baking and brewing, Damansara Utama's latest cafe tackles open sandwiches piled with plenty of potential toppings, from grilled cheese (RM11; a triple threat of cheddar, parmesan and mozzarella) to fresh pumpkin puree (RM9; soft and smooth), smoked salmon with avocado to Nutella with bananas, on a choice of sourdough (dense and weighty) or brioche (fluffier and feathery).
Sweet treats are also available, with maple cream cheese croffins and lemon curd tarts among the highlights, but what impressed us the most is the coffee - everything from the hot cortado to the iced latte, the V60 pour-over to the cold brew is confidently executed and richly nuanced.
