Buttermood, Mont Kiara

Buttermood is Mont Kiara’s new Korean-run bake shop for salt bread with a confidently crisp bite, scones with a convincingly crumbly chew and butter tteok with coppery caramelisation.

Also find feathery madeleines, beautifully browned financiers, fresh milk and other firm favourites.

Buttermood is founded by a friendly South Korean husband-and-wife team; she brings over a decade of professional baking experience from her home country, while he supplies a chef’s seasoned skills. Dine-in seats are limited for now, with more furnishing and fuller fare of sandwiches and Korean-roasted coffee by next month.

Buttermood is open to the public at the residence lobby entrance of Gateway Kiaramas.
