Chinatown’s new Palmierra28 brings a different vibe to Petaling Street, tackling time-honoured Malay classics, with a particular penchant for the founders’ home state of Pahang. The menu includes laksa Pahang, termose raja, and Temerloh’s perennially popular ikan patin masak tempoyak (a fantastic rendition here, beautifully rich and creamy, fresh and clean-tasting) served with welcoming warmth in a setting that flows with elaborate artistic aplomb.
