Jonesing for java? Our citys need for caffeine has morphed into a full-blown addiction, with two more openings this month that might become notorious dens for joe junkies.

First up, 15 Sheets, a cheerfully friendly Bangsar mens boutique that doubles as a latte-loving cafe, making the streets of Telawi increasingly unsafe for coffee evaders.

Buy a colorfully checkered, American-made shirt, sock or tie ...

... then sip a painstakingly perfected Americano; its all in an afternoons work for KLs highly strung urban male.

Complimentary coffee? Thats what 15 Sheets is serving, for these few days. Yays!

15 Sheets is a new name, but our next stop marks an established brand that weve tracked since its earliest incarnation in Ampangs Persiaran Ritchie: Artisan Roast.

Artisan abandoned its original outlet, but every branch its since launched has successfully carved fresh niches, in the TTDI indie-hipster scene, Bangsar Villages sparkling-mall setting, & now, most impressively, a cavernous cafe in Petaling Jaya.

Artisan Roast PJ opened this weekend, a work in progress with renovation forging ahead, but serving coffee & cakes nevertheless. This looks to be Artisans flagship hangout, spearheaded by a bevy of the best baristas that passion can produce.

Try the filtered Rwandan or Kenyan. It might change your mind about what coffee can be.

(Kita) Punya Colada, a remarkable riff on the Pina Colada, a tropical fruit trinity of coconut, pineapple & even jackfruit (!), plus an effervescent Root Beer ice cream.
