Yzen Frozen Yogurt: New Waffles & Yogurt Drink

Frozen yogurt specialist Yzen has unveiled two new temptations to draw dessert devotees to its glasshouse-like haven: Waffles blanketed with everything from Belgian chocolate to Lotus Biscoff caramelised biscuit sauce, washed down with ultra-reviving yogurt beverages.

Yzen's fans have long loved this brand for its cool yogurt, but they can now relish hot fare too, in the form of waffles with a wide range of premium toppings, prepared fresh to order, served folded like a waffle cake. Yzen's waffles prove pleasurably crisp and firm, capable of holding its toppings without turning soggy or falling apart - perfect for a takeaway treat.

At RM5.90, Yzen's waffle is a wallet-friendly indulgence, complete with two toppings of your choice that'll blanket half the waffle. Our pairings of toppings included a double dose of Belgian dark chocolate with Lotus Biscoff caramelised biscuit sauce, as well as Belgian milk chocolate with strawberry puree, both delectably decadent delights.

The new original yogurt beverage is blended with the same base for the froyo, a longtime family recipe (the difference is that the drink excludes the froyo's purple sweet potato). A serving of this is like having the froyo equivalent of a frosty milkshake, a rejuvenating antidote for our tropical heat at only RM6.90. Extra ingredients, like mango, can be mixed in at RM1.40 each, complete with cute paper straws to make this a charming cooler.

One more update to note: Yzen has upsized its mini froyo, going from 80 grams to 120 grams - a 50 percent increase, with one topping of your choice - still costing just RM7.90.

For bargain-hunters, the best time to visit Yzen might be on Tuesdays, for a 23% discount on the regular froyo cup (RM10.70 instead of RM13.90), large froyo cup (RM13.80 instead of RM17.90), and the Lay-zen parfait (RM13 instead of RM16.90; frozen yogurt with two fruits, Oreo crumbs, brown sugar jelly, Lotus Biscoff cookie crumbs, and one sauce of choice).

Yzen's frozen yogurt is made fresh, and the brand only uses halal ingredients. Yzen now operates exclusively in Cyberjaya's Tamarind Square.
