The Cheras ibu sawat of Arkib launches today, bringing together a roastery studio and slow coffee bar.
This mothership in Saville Cheras marks a new milestone for Arkib, founded by an engineer-turned-roaster who's passionate about connecting with coffee-farming communities and doing justice to their crops.
Ibu Sawat Arkib now serves hand drips as well as espresso-based coffee, with a selection that's expected to evolve every month, currently showcasing Colombian and Indonesian varietals, all stored, roasted, ground and brewed in-store.
It's well worth spending time to sample Arkib's thoughtfully sourced beans and chat with founder Helmi about why nurturing relationships with coffee producers matters to him and how he hopes to make a meaningful difference in the world of coffee.
