The Black Sails, Shah Alam

The Black Sails takes pasta lovers on a pleasure cruise that embarks for the familiar ports of puttanesca and bolognese, aglio olio and carbonara, propelled by fresh, house-made tagliatelle.

The kitchen leverages on this single type of broad-cut ribbon pasta, distinctively delicate-textured here, for classics like pasta alla norma and crowd-pleasers like pasta with meatballs.

The Bresato (RM17) sets the tagliatelle against firm slivers of lamb in a lightly minty braising sauce, with flavours that taste wholesomely made from scratch - served hot and hearty, it feels like home, soulful enough to hit the spot on a cold, dark night.
