Classic Iraqi cuisine at Changkat Thambi Dollah's ShakoMako provides a different perspective on Middle Eastern cuisine.

Traditional flavours of Baghdad surface in Iraq’s national dish - masgouf - coal-grilled fish, fresh and fleshy with a rich char (served in KL as sea bass instead of Iraq’s conventional carp).

ShakoMako’s take on Iraq’s favourite breakfast, makhlama, is also available, a moist, soft omelette made extra-savoury with ground lamb, tomatoes and onions.

Pair with shanina, a house-smoked yogurt beverage that packs a fermented punch.
