Makanhouse @ Bangsar
May 22, 2017
Bangsars new hive for local fare brings the neighbourhood together for everything from nasi dagang to fish ball noodle soup in a community-spirited setting filled with rustic touches & fun flourishes (take a seat on the swing or the repurposed bathtubs).
Check out the nasi campur selection, then pile your plate with ayam goreng berempah, beef rendang, sambal ikan bilis with tempoyak & petai, sambal sepat nanas, salted egg, ulam & Malaccan Eurasian favourites like devils chicken & pei chi salad (each add-on costs between RM2-RM7). The Malaccan influence also prevails in the Nyonya curry laksa (RM10), though the menu stretches as far as the east coast too with the nasi berlauk gulai ikan tongkol Kelantan. Service is friendly & fuss-free.
