Joes Kitchen & Barbershop @ SS15 Subang

Half-pizzeria, half-barbershop, this strange initiative spearheaded by Too Phats Joe Flizzow is fast becoming a one-stop center for crispy crusts & crew cuts.

Business is brisk in the heart of Subangs SS15; T-shirt-clad lads stream in to secure trendy haircuts in a setting evocative of one specific Ice Cube movie, separated by a glass wall from clusters of college-age customers mulling whether to munch on the Margherita or Napoletana.

Building our own pizza, we crafted this three-meat pleasure, topped with beef pepperoni, barbecue-sauce chicken & lamb meatballs (RM25, no taxes).

Joes Kitchen claims to make its own fresh dough & prepares each flavorsome pizza to order. Simple, straightforward & satisfactory; no complaints whatsoever.

Occupying the other end of the meat-or-no-meat spectrum: Vegetarian spaghetti aglio olio (RM18), heartily heaped with eggplant, mushrooms & tomatoes.

Joes Kitchen roasts its own coffee beans, which explains why the espresso (RM10) & iced latte (RM12) are well worth sipping.

Both barbershop & kitchen run energetically, 11am through at least 11pm everyday.
