The soothing sound of rustling leaves sets the tone for Hutan Cafe, where customers can take long, deep breaths of fresh air while savouring a minimal-fuss meal near Cyberjaya's lake gardens.
Remember the Chicken Alamo (RM 15.90): Hutan Cafe's flagship dish features a tender chicken leg served with a sauce that evokes a sweeter, thicker version of the black pepper kind, rounded out with potato wedges and steamed vegetables.
The Aglio Olio Peperoncino (RM 14.90) will please spice-loving Malaysian palates - this spaghettini is heavier on the chillies and easier on the olive oil, finished with prawns, garlic and tomatoes. But if you really want to go full-on local, the Nasi Goreng Kampung (RM 8.50) promises fried rice with chicken, prawns, egg, keropok and sambal belacan - for better or worse, it's free of ikan bilis.
