Tucked inside Bangsar's 176 Avenue hair and beauty parlour, Hong Kee Coffee is a caffeine bar run by a husband-and-wife team, Malaysian fashion buyer-turned-barista Hong and Hong Kong-born Freesia, turning their romance for coffee into a fresh-blooming affair with fellow latte lovers.
Even if you're not here for a haircut, hop by Hong Kee for a bold-bodied flat white, currently relying on a locally roasted Guatemalan-Indian blend (RM10), or a Yuzu Soda, fruity and fizzy, a reviving perk-me-up for humid afternoons, brightened with Hong Kee's own-cultivated mint leaves (RM10).
