Hobby N Coffee @ TTDI
October 23, 2014
It's all fun & games at Hobby N Coffee, a cafe where customers linger over lattes & roll the dice over rounds of Catan.
Popular board & card games - plus a Jenga set or two - line the shelves here. The hook: Patrons play for free.
Order a bite & some coffee, then help yourself to what's available & stay as long as you like. No hidden fees or extra charges.
The cafe is open four days each week (currently Thursday-Sunday) & organises meet-up events specifically on weekends, when folks can gather & get to know other enthusiasts. Head here this Saturday, 3pm, for the next session.
Living up to the 'Hobby' in its name, the cafe also caters to customers who enjoy other activities, such as sewing (!).
In recent weeks, Hobby N Coffee has held classes on using sewing machines, plus other engagements - entrepreneur networking (often the first Saturday every month) & latte art workshops. Check www.facebook.com/hobbyNcoffee for updates.
All that gaming will arouse the appetite; luckily, Hobby N Coffee serves everything from light pastries (custard strudels, kaya whirls & red bean bars, RM1.95++ each) to heavier meals like pasta carbonara (RM9.95++), Japanese curry chicken with rice (RM11.95++) & beef pie with mashed potatoes (RM12.95++).
Coffee will keep customers alert through the hours (mostly RM9.95++ per cup), while hot chocolate made with Guylian Belgian choc (RM10.95++) will supply sufficient sugar for bursts of energy. Each serving comes with cute art that can be customised.
