French Feast: 2019 Festive Takeaways

For those of us bringing home a feast for 2019's year-end festive season, French Feast's offerings throughout Christmas and the New Year are well worthwhile: A five-kilogram turducken, deboned and wrapped in bacon, tender and meaty; porchetta prepared with garlic and rosemary, complete with ultra-crunchy crackling, complemented by a textured caramelised apple sauce; beetroot-cured fjord trout gravlax, lovably luscious; red cabbage salad packed with plenty of chestnuts, cranberries and smoked air-dried duck; duck fat roasted potatoes with truffle paste; comforting ratatouille; sauces like cranberry and raisin or red wine and shallot, and for the final flourish, a Valrhona chocolate and chestnut cream log.
