Dulang Tea House, Sunway Lost World Of Tambun, Ipoh

September 22, 2018

Staying at The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat in Ipoh allows you access to a myriad of engaging adventures, especially if you enjoy the outdoors. A guided jungle walk is available for all guests, with the resort's knowledgeable staff pointing out some intriguing flora and fauna, including formations that stretch back millions of years in age. It's an easy 600-metre trek through densely foliage-filled slopes, showcasing the rich rainforest heritage of peninsular Malaysia.

Conveniently, the walk leads to Sunway Lost World Of Tambun, the family holiday destination that includes more of nature to savour, being a haven of animals from more than 50 species.

A bevy of theme park activities will keep everyone happy for many hours - we spent less than 120 minutes here, but we certainly managed to squeeze in some fun!

Sunway Lost World of Tambun has a medley of food-and-beverage attractions as well, including a food street that serves Ipoh-inspired treats. But what caught our attention was Dulang Tea House, which aims to deliver a dose of nostalgia with time-honoured temptations like roti tumbuk, biskut lutut, telur ayam kampung and roti bakar with chicken curry, for a genuine blast from the past.
