Pizza maniacs who like their toppings as thick as possible can splurge on The Bat Works, the ultimate pizza at Bangsar's new bistro, piled with a medley of meat, a smorgasbord of seafood and a variety of vegetables. The crisp crust is richly blanketed with (deep breath!) shredded beef, lamb, chicken, prawns, baby octopus, rocket leaves, tomatoes, caramelised onions, pineapples, mushrooms, chillies, buffalo mozzarella and potentially more. It's a hefty pizza that carries plenty of weight, easily shared by four persons (RM60); while putting so many different ingredients together might seem like overkill, nothing clashes terribly, so it's far from an abomination.

Cocktails emerge from B.A.T.S' first-floor bar (trivia: B.A.T.S stands for Bar At Telawi Street, taking over from what was formerly La Bodega). For fruit-infused concoctions, try the Louisville Lip (RM26; with apple-infused bourbon and spiced honey syrup) and the Strawberry (RM30; strawberry-infused rum with mint leaves, lime juice and sugar).
