Arthur's: Round Two. Earlier entry: January 5.
When a restaurant's complimentary bread is exceptional, it makes us sit back and relax, assured of a satisfying meal ahead. This one hit all the right notes: warm, freshly made and fabulously fragrant.
Cobb Salad. Also a pleasure, featuring some of our favorite ingredients: boiled eggs, avocado & blue cheese. Combined with a hearty helping of shrimp, smoked beef & raw leaves, this could be a complete meal on its own. Why hasn't the Cobb Salad overtaken the Caesar in popularity across the globe?
Grilled cod fish with creamy spinach & sauteed asparagus. As tender and tasty as cod can be; this "safe" dish won't disappoint, but won't linger in the memory either. Still, a healthy recipe, impeccably prepared.
180-gram medium-rare tenderloin with caramelized onions, green beans & shallots. Succulent and flavorsome; not the finest in town, but we can't find fault with it.
