A Li Yaa @ Damansara

February 17, 2009

The Sri Lankan cuisine here is yummy and inexpensive, but A Li Yaa's popularity might have more to do with its sheer elegance...

... whether you're hanging out indoors ...

... or dining outside (no fear, the mozzies stay away).

Aapam galore! Thin, light and crispy. We chose the plain, coconut milk and broken egg varieties.

Clockwise from top: Devilled lamb sausages in tomatoes and onions (a slight letdown; the tomato sauce seemed artificial and ketchupy), breaded crab cutlets (perfect for snacking) and string hopper kotha mixed with lamb curry (comfort food that we never fail to order here).

Orange cacao martini, Mai Tai and Pimm's No. 1.

A Li Yaa,

Lorong Dungun, Damansara Heights.
