7atenine's overhauled menu is really impressive _ we'll need one or two more visits to try everything that we want.
Avocado Crab (Japanese crab meat scented with herb dressing, avocado and sauce vierge). This was a true treat, with thick, luscious, creamy avocado slices. Comfort food that could mend a broken heart.
Foie gras with filo mille-feuille and caramelized mango. Divine; the mango mousse took the melt-in-your-mouth milkiness of foie gras to new heights.
Momotaro tomatoes with pecorino cheese shavings and white truffle dressing. The tomatoes were fantastic _ perfectly sweet, tangy and juicy.
Laksa croquettes with belacan dressing. Interesting, but not something we'd order again. The croquettes were crisp but too salty for our liking.
Trio of braised black cod with miso, coriander cashew pesto and tomato macadamia. Not bad; the flavours were subtle, but that was fine since the fish was tasty on its own merit.
